
Sarah Stidham is an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). She offers supportive and healing services for children, new and expectant mothers, women, and families and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a major in Spanish and a minor in Art. She earned her MA in Clinical Counseling at University of Northern Colorado and has over 12 years of experience in counseling services.
She has specialized training in expressive arts as therapy, mindfulness techniques, integrated and holistic approaches that include nutritional and lifestyle coaching to overcome anxiety and depression, yoga for regulation, neuroscience of trauma and stress, trauma-focused CBT, and parent coaching based on the principles of simplicity parenting.
Sarah has particular interest and personal experience in postpartum and perinatal disorders. She also has a lot of experience working with children and parents and is passionate about supporting families through the various challenges of our fast paced and high-pressure society, and the inherent impact this has on our well-being and the well-being of our children. Sarah works with clients ages 7 and up.
Through a gentle and holistic approach, that emphasizes the value and importance of trust, nonjudgement and feeling deeply heard, Sarah works alongside her clients to help create changes you identify while learning and practicing self-acceptance and mindfulness of your present way of being.
Sarah lives in Colorado Springs with her children, partner and dog. She enjoys the outdoors, yoga, gardening, cooking and time with family and friends.
Sarah is NOT currently accepting new clients. Sarah is in-network with BCBS and Aetna. She can also accept clients wishing to self-pay for their therapy services and is an Aetna EAP provider.
