
Abbey believes everyone has the potential for healing and creating the life with their best self taking charge of the process. Abbey utilizes a holistic approach and believes that all of her clients hold the answers to rebuilding the life they envision. She stresses the importance of establishing safe, trusting, and fulfilling relationships, along with the priority of forming a self-care routine that helps you to achieve the most of your potential. She is passionate about women’s empowerment, helping adults strengthen the quality of their relationships with others, strengthening the mind-body connection, and facilitating the change process to develop the foundations for a healthy and fulfilling life. Abbey works to continue exercising her growth-mindset by keeping up with the latest research in brain science, attachment styles, and best clinical practices in the field in order to best support her clients in their personal journeys.
Abbey grew up in the state of Michigan where she obtained a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Michigan Technological University. After completing her undergraduate work, she moved to Colorado where she completed her Master of Social Work (Concentration in mental health and certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work) from the University of Denver. Abbey has since gained experience working with at risk adolescents and their families, as well as professional systems in the Colorado Springs area. Abbey is currently pursuing further education through through the Mind Energy Body School of Transformation, and a certificate in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy. Abbey’s specialty in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy allows her to bring her canine partner, Jables, in to her clients set and work toward goals. Abbey and Jables are excited to bring their best selves to help you lay the foundations to awakening your best self!
Abbey practices her own self-care routine by making time to go outside with her dogs and experience nature, exercising her mind and body, cuddling up on the couch with her animals and family, and exploring new experiences in order to continue growing and manifesting joy in her life.
